

On this tour we will take you to the south of the Cusco Valley, a very important place in the Inca empire. We will visit the archaeological centers of Tipón and Pikillacta, then “The Sistine Chapel of America” in Andahuaylillas.
Pick up from your hotel at 08:30 am. in our tourist bus heading towards the South of Cusco. We will pass through picturesque villages and witness the typical Andean landscape. After 40 minutes we will arrive at the ruins of Tipón and we will be able to appreciate the cultivation terraces in perfect conditions of conservation and an excellent work of hydraulics. It is said that Tipón was a recreation center for the upper class of the Inca empire. After the tour in Tipón we will descend towards the archaeological center of Pikillacta. It is said that in the Inca empire they served as an administrative center for the Wari culture. Then our last stop will be at the colonial church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas. This Catholic church was built in the 17th century on the foundations of an ancient Inca temple. It has murals painted in the Baroque style and is credited with the Sistine Chapel of America. Then we return to Cusco. 15:00pm. approx.
After the tour, you can take a stroll around the Plaza de Armas and its surroundings, where you can appreciate the work of Cusco artisans in the craft shops. You can also savor the famous and unique Peruvian cuisine in nearby restaurants or simply take a break on one of the benches in the Plaza de Armas, enjoying the scenery and taking the classic photo for a warm memory despite the cold Cusco nights. And if you enjoy the nightlife, around the square, you’ll find many discos and bars filled with tourists and locals looking to have fun.
