

Leaving Cusco very early in the morning in our comfortable bus. Ascending to the high mountain of Paucartambo. On the way we visit the funerary towers or chullpas of Ninamarca. The buses then descend through the mysterious misty forest full of beautiful orchids, heliconiums and primitive ferns. Along the way you can see a wide variety of birds, such as herons, egrets, kingfishers, and the ever-present vultures of which the most spectacular is the jungle condor, king vulture (Sarcoramphus papa). The boat trip continues and you will be able to understand why Manu is so famous for its fauna. On the edges of the river you can see groups of turtles, white caimans (Caiman cocodrylus), capybaras (Hydrochaeris) and perhaps a jaguar (Panthera Onca) resting on a log and observing their territory. Today the group will visit another cocha called Salvador, which is half an hour boat trip from Otorongo.
